Taxi Company Custom Radio Jingles

0

We feel like this year should be nicknamed the ‘Year of the Car’, purely down to the amount of car related custom radio jingle briefs we have received in 2015 so far. There are car dealerships and MOT/garages who love a radio jingle, however the top-selling brief for the motor industry is most definitely the taxi company.

From funny mock-classical orchestras, pop and rock and everything in between, Creative Executives from around the UK are getting much more experimental with their taxi adverts. Our recent bespoke taxi radio jingle for Street Cars, which airs on Capital FM in Manchester, is one of our favourites. This jingle features the company name and telephone number sung at the start and end of the advert, and the background music is modern with an electronic edge – suiting Capital’s audience.

So what makes the perfect taxi radio jingle? Here are New Noise Audio’s top tips on creating the best advert for your station.

  1. Sing the taxi firms name and telephone in a melodic manner – this will make your jingle ultra catchy and memorable.
  2. 30 seconds is all you need. You don’t need any longer than this to get your message across.
  3. Consider your audience – an obvious tip but often forgotten. If you’re appealing to younger audiences stick with sounds that are in the current top 40 charts, like Capital FM. If you’re aiming towards Heart Radio audiences, we’ve found an old school Hip Hop vibe, happy pop or disco sound is great.
  4. Never forget the brand – getting the balance right between your stations branding and your clients is key. For example, if it’s a premier taxi service with top class vehicles on offer, stick to a classical sound or chilled electronic ‘wine bar’ style beats.
  5. Key words to add to your voiceover script would be ‘safe’, ‘quick’, reliable and ‘trust’ and ‘affordable’.
