New Noise Audio has created a dramatic soundtrack for the Human Rights Watch (HRW) #protectschools campaign in France, hoping to raise awareness surrounding the International Safe Schools Declaration. The Human Rights Watch video shows the realities of students who have to share their schools with military forces during armed conflict.
The GCPEA (Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack) says that, “Students and educators in situations of armed conflict face violence every day. Schools and universities should be safe havens, where communities can work toward a better future. Instead, in many places, these institutions have become the targets of violent attacks for political, military, ideological, sectarian, ethnic, religious or criminal reasons.”
Sound design for the Human Rights Watch online video was created by the agency Schmooze in Paris, whilst the creative and videos were produced by advertising agency BETC and Director Reynald Gresset. New Noise Audio are proud to work on such an important project and cause, hoping that it will help alert world leaders and the public of the International Safe Schools Declaration.
